Acceptance of terms

By creating a GoTidy account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you're signing up on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

What GoTidy is

GoTidy is a web app for managing employee tasks, schedules, time tracking, payroll-ready timesheets, time off and rewards. It's offered as a subscription service to organizations and the team members they invite.

Accounts & security

  • You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account.
  • Admins are responsible for the team members they invite and the roles they assign.
  • Notify us promptly at info@gotidy.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use GoTidy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use GoTidy for anything illegal, harmful or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Attempt to break, probe, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Upload malware, spam other users, or impersonate anyone.
  • Use GoTidy to store sensitive categories of data we don't support (e.g. payment-card numbers, medical records, government ID numbers).
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label GoTidy without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Subscriptions & billing

  • GoTidy is CA$5 per user per month, or CA$48 per user per year. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise.
  • You start with a 14-day free trial. A card is captured at signup but isn't charged until day 15.
  • After the trial, your card is charged automatically for the plan you selected, and on each renewal date.
  • If you add or remove team members mid-cycle, your next invoice is pro-rated automatically.
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Card details are stored by Stripe, not by us.
  • Taxes (GST/HST/PST/VAT) are added where required by law.

Cancellation & refunds

  • You can cancel any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; your team keeps access until the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancellations before day 15 of the free trial avoid any charge.
  • Monthly fees and partial months are non-refundable. Annual plans cancelled mid-term may be refunded on a pro-rated basis at our discretion.
  • If we change pricing, we'll notify admins at least 30 days before the new price applies to your account.

Your data

You own the data you put into GoTidy. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that data solely to provide the service to you.

You can export your timesheets and activity to Excel or PDF at any time. If you cancel, we retain your workspace for 30 days in case you return, then delete it. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Our intellectual property

The GoTidy software, brand, logo, design and content (excluding your data) are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our IP beyond using the service as intended.

Service availability

We work hard to keep GoTidy fast and available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or change features over time. We'll give reasonable notice for any change that materially reduces functionality you depend on.

Termination

You may stop using GoTidy at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, fail to pay, or pose a security or legal risk. On termination, your access ends and the data-retention rules in our Privacy Policy apply.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

GoTidy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws apply.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify account admins by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of GoTidy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
